Former Ohio Rep. James Traficant Dies Days After Tractor Accident
Published at(WASHINGTON) — Former Ohio Rep. James Traficant died on Saturday, four days after he was injured in a tractor accident on his family farm. He was 73.
Traficant had been expelled from Congress in 2002, three months after a federal jury in Cleveland convicted him on corruption and racketeering charges.
On the House floor, Traficant was known for his trademark phrase, “Beam me up.”
