Grand Jury Called in Jefferson County

(RIGBY, ID) – The Idaho Attorney General’s Office is calling for a grand jury in Jefferson County. State officials tell Local News 8 that they can’t disclose the reason why the jury is being impaneled or the people involved in the request.
The selection will take place sometime in October. Idaho law requires grand juries to be called only when a serious criminal issue is at stake.
The jury will ultimately determine if criminal charges should be initiated based on information provided by witnesses and prosecutors.
