Home Depot Data Breach Affects 60M Customers, BillGuard Says

BillGuard, the bank and credit card tracking app, believes the breach at Home Depot affects 60 million customers and may result in more than $2 billion worth of fraudulent charges.

BillGuard says the average amount of fraud posted to each affected account is about $300.

Home Depot declined to confirm, saying it has nothing new to share and is continuing the investigation into the size and scope of the breach, which may have started as far back as April.
