Indiana State University Student Arrested in Connection with Shooting
Published at | Updated at(TERRE HAUTE, Ind.) — Police arrested a 21-year-old Indiana State University student on Sunday in connection with a Saturday shooting.
According to the Indiana State University Police, Calvin McCauley, 21, is in custody and faces a preliminary charge of attempted murder. On Saturday, McCauley allegedly shot and wounded a 20-year-old ISU student.
Investigators believe that McCauley knew the victim and had spent time together prior to the shooting on Saturday. The victim underwent surgery on Sunday to remove a bullet from his buttocks and is expected to recover.
