Jackson Considering Options for Marijuana Offenders

(JACKSON, WY) – The city of Jackson is considering alternatives for handling first-time marijuana offenders.
The measure allows the city court to negotiate with suspects by offering substance abuse programs or community service, instead of a misdemeanor conviction or dismissal.
The Town Council has approved two previous readings, and is expected to pass the law on its third reading Sept. 15.
