Jessica Chastain Opens Up About the ‘Love of My Life’
Published at(NEW YORK) — Jessica Chastain is madly in love.
“The love of my life is Chaplain,” the actress said Thursday on The View, while promoting her new movie, The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby.
Chaplain, the Oscar-nominated movie star’s three-lagged, sweet pooch, made his TV debut in all his white, fluffy glory.
After the actress revealed her undying love for her puppy, View host Rosie O’Donnell brought him out to meet the rest of the panel.
Chastain, 37, said she got her dog “from a rescue organization,” and that he lost his leg, because “he was hit by a car before I got him.”
“He plays fetch better than any dog I’ve had,” she added. “He’s an acting dog … He’s in my new film, it’s his first part. But I think he wants to be a big old movie star because when I was on Broadway, he jumped on stage in the middle of a performance.”
