“It’s really family here, and I wanted to come back and finish it off where it started,” Harrison said earlier this month.

The Steelers recently lost two of their starting linebackers as Jarvis Jones and Ryan Shazier were both injured Sunday night against the Carolina Panthers. Facing a shortage of linebackers, the team decided to go back in time to bring back one of their long-time leaders.

The 36-year-old Harrison spent the first nine of his ten-year career with the Steelers and won two Super Bowls during his time in Pittsburgh. He played one season with the Cincinnati Bengals and decided that 2013 would be his last season in the NFL, before returning.
