Little League Hero to Donate Game Jersey to Baseball Hall of Fame

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(COOPERSTOWN, NY) — Mo’ne Davis, who became the first female player to win a game at the Little League World Series, will donate the jersey she wore to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
The 13-year-old Davis and her teammates from both her Taney Little League World Series team and her traveling team will visit the museum on Thursday.
Mamie “Peanut” Johnson, one of only three women to play in the Negro Leagues, will also attend the event on Thursday.
Davis became the fourth American girl to appear in the Little League World Series. She tossed a complete-game 4-0 shutout against Nashville in her first game.
