Man Arrested For Bonneville County Shooting

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A Nampa man has been arrested in connection to a shooting in Bonneville County. Douglas Heaton was taken into custody on a felony warrant last Friday.
The 33-year-old is accused of shooting Travis Best in the arm during an argument on July 22. Heaton is also accused of threatening a woman with a gun near the Ammon Walmart, then leading police on a pursuit through several neighborhoods in Ammon and Idaho Falls.
He remains behind bars on a $500,000 bond.
