Man Steals $60K in Lotto Tickets
Published at | Updated at(TWIN FALLS, ID) – A south-central Idaho man is facing multiple charges after stealing an estimated $60,000 in lottery tickets from his employer.
James Adam of Twin Falls allegedly cashed the tickets while working as a clerk at a convenience store between January and June. Adam reportedly pre-scanned the tickets to find the winners, then took the cash to gamble in Jackpot, Nevada.
The 35-year-old told authorities that a severe gambling addiction led to his illicit behavior. Adam will be back in court Sept. 19.
