LOGAN, Utah (AP) – Authorities say an Idaho man who hadn’t returned home from a picture-taking excursion in Utah was found dead in a river.

Cache County deputies say they found the body of 62-year-old Malad resident Burt Singleton floating in the waters of the Logan River on Thursday.

Investigators have ruled out foul play and believe Singleton accidentally drowned or suffered a medical episode. His body was turned over to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Deputies from Oneida County, Idaho requested help from their counterparts in Utah Thursday morning after learning that Singleton’s SUV might be in Logan Canyon.

Troopers say the vehicle was parked on the side of the highway, and Singleton’s body was found a little downstream.
