NFL Sponsor Pepsi Makes Statement on Ray Rice Controversy
Published at | Updated at(NEW YORK) — A sponsor of the National Football League has issued a strong statement against domestic violence in light of the Ray Rice controversy.
“Domestic violence is completely unacceptable,” PepsiCo said in a public statement. “We are encouraged to see the NFL is now treating this with the seriousness it deserves.”
PepsiCo has maintained a 31-year partnership with the league, according to its website, and sponsors the Super Bowl Halftime Show, the NFL Rookie of the Week award and the NFL Rookie of the Year award.
