The company originally suspended Pistorius’ contract in February 2013 when he was charged in the case, but subsequently terminated the deal after he was found guilty of culpable homicide on Sept. 12, a Nike spokesman confirmed to ESPN.com.

The decision comes days after Nike ended its contract with former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, who was cut from the football team and suspended by the NFL after video surfaced of him assaulting his then-fiancée, now wife, inside an elevator.
