“No Good Deed” Leads Weekend Box Office

Sony / Screen Gems(NEW YORK) — Crime thriller No Good Deed dominated this weekend’s box office with a debut of $24.5 million.

The newly released film, starring Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson, beat out the Dolphin Tale sequel, which came in at number two with its first weekend gross of more than $16.5 million.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which held the top spot last week, was bumped down to number three, followed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and comedy Let’s Be Cops.
