Pelicans Forward Ryan Anderson is Cleared for Contact
Published at(NEW YORK) — After sustaining a neck injury in January that required cervical spine surgery, New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson declared Wednesday he can play basketball again.
“I’m cleared for contact! After 8 months out, I can finally play again. Thank you God!,” Anderson tweeted.
The 26-year-old played in 22 games for the Pelicans last season, averaging 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and three 3-pointers a game.
Anderson will be ready for the Pelicans’ training camp, which begins in three weeks.
