Shooting at UPS Warehouse Leaves Three Dead
Published at | Updated at(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) — A recently fired UPS employee shot two people dead Tuesday before turning the gun on himself at the Birmingham, Alabama, shipping center where he had worked.
Witnesses said that Joe Tesney, 45, walked inside the warehouse wearing his uniform and gunned down two UPS supervisors.
Police believe Tesney purposely picked his targets and then took his own life around 9:20 a.m.
No one else was hurt in the incident
According to The Birmingham News, Tesney received final notification about losing his job Monday, although he was actually told about being fired earlier in September.
Tesney was married and had two daughters.
