SpaceX Delays Dragon Cargo Ship Launch
Published at | Updated at(CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.) — NASA cancelled its launch plans for the SpaceX Dragon on Saturday after rainy weather around Cape Canaveral made for poor conditions.
“The launch director and team have made the determination to scrub today’s launch attempt,” Mike Curie, NASA launch commentator said.
Officials rescheduled the mission for Sunday at 1:52 a.m., with a forecast calling for 40 percent chance of “acceptable conditions.”
NASA is hoping to send a 3D printer to the International Space Station via the SpaceX Dragon, as well as more than 5,000 pounds of cargo.
