“Thor” Star Tom Hiddleston Channels Hank Williams at Music Festival

Buena Vista(NEW YORK) — Tom Hiddleston, best known for playing Thor’s adopted brother and archenemy Loki in the Marvel Films franchise, got to show off his singing talent at Michigan’s Wheatland Music Festival this past weekend.
A YouTube video shows the 33-year-old actor appearing on stage Saturday, singing the Hank Williams classic, “Move It On Over.”
He was back again Sunday, according to a tweet by Carson City Gazette editor Elisabeth Waldon, this time joining singer/songwriter Rodney Crowell on stage for a performance of Williams’ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.”
The surprise performance was in preparation for Hiddleston’s next role, playing Williams in the upcoming biopic, I Saw the Light. The film follows the legendary singer’s rise to fame and its tragic effect on his personal life and health.
Williams died at the age of 29 due to heart failure.
Filming is set to begin next month in Louisiana.
