(REXBURG, ID) – Five Idaho counties are being recognized for having no fatal traffic accidents last year. Three of those counties, Teton, Madison, and Butte, are in eastern Idaho.

Officials with the Idaho Transportation Department tell Local News 8 that there were 213 fatalities on Idaho roadways in 2013.

Idaho State Police credit area law enforcement for keeping drivers accountable through frequent traffic patrols.
