GETTY 22614 Golf? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1410813082062James_Thomas_Photo/Thinkstock(WINDEMERE, FLA.) — Tiger Woods says his strength has returned but he has yet to hit a golf ball after being sidelined for five weeks.

The 14-time major champion hasn’t played a round of golf since missing the cut at the PGA Championship on August 8. He withdrew from consideration to play on the U.S. team in this month’s Ryder Cup tournament after doctors and trainers advised him that his back muscles needed to be rehabilitated and need to heal.

Woods is also still in search of a new swing coach, after he parted ways with Sean Foley. He is planning to return to the links on December 4 for his tournament, the World Challenge in Orlando, Florida.
