Tigers Clinch A.L. Central
Published at(DETROIT) — The Detroit Tigers (90-72) clinched the A.L. Central for the fourth consecutive season after they beat the Twins, 3-0 on Sunday.
Ian Kinsler led the offense, with a solo homerun in the third and further cemented the lead with an RBI single in the eighth.
David Price tossed 7 1/3 scoreless innings with two walks and eight strikeouts.
Joe Nathan closed out the game to earn his 35th save of the season.
The Tigers will travel to Baltimore to face the Orioles Thursday in the A.L. Divisional Series.
