The strike, which was in support of Iraqi Security Forces, “destroyed one ISIL armed vehicle in the vicinity of Irbil,” CENTCOM said in a statement. The attack aircraft used in the strike managed to exit the area safely.
With this latest strike, CENTCOM says it has conducted 154 airstrikes across Iraq since Aug. 8.
Most of those airstrikes — 91 — have been near Mosul Dam, the Pentagon announced Wednesday. The rest have been near Erbil (29), Sinjar (13), Amirli (4) and Haditha Dam (17).
According to the Pentagon, a total of 212 ISIS targets have been destroyed, including 162 vehicles, 21 weapons systems and 29 facilities.
