Zelda Williams Tweets First Personal Message Since Twitter Return
Published at(NEW YORK) — Zelda Williams returned to Twitter to thank fans for the outpouring of support after the death of her father, Robin Williams.
“I just want to say thank you for all the stories and letters I’ve been receiving, especially from those who’ve also lost loved ones,” she wrote early Tuesday morning.
“I don’t come online often, but reading of others who have dealt with this loss & gone on to live happy, full lives is helpful. Truly,” she continued.
Williams, 25, made her first tentative return to Twitter earlier this month with a quote from Harvey Fierstein, “Never be bullied into silence.”
The move came weeks after Williams quit the social media site upon seeing some crude remarks from other members on social media regarding her father’s suicide.
Those so-called Twitter trolls were suspended.
She signed off with a retweet of a joyful photo of her famous father singing alongside Sesame Street’s two-headed monster.
Bearded sing off 🙂 RT @FreeThinkingUK welcome back! I wanted to share this with you before you went, I love it. pic.twitter.com/TYP0YNb4ZV
