Zion National Park Temporarily Closed After Heavy Rain Causes Flooding
Published at | Updated at(SPRINGDALE, Utah) — Zion National Park was closed on Tuesday after heavy rains caused flooding, which overtook multiple park roads.
Aly Baltrus, spokeswoman for the National Park Service, told ABC News that shuttle services were stopped and most people in the canyon were evacuated. The entire park was then closed and some people were even turned away at the park’s gates.
The park was later reopened after the water receded. Shuttle service was still limited, however.
