3 Mutilated Cows Mystify Utah Sheriff’s Officials
Published atMANILA, Utah (AP) – Officials in northeast Utah’s Daggett County are trying to figure out who may have mutilated several cows found dead in recent weeks.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Susie Potter says three young cows were found dead in ranching fields near Manila but officials don’t know how they died.
All three cows were mutilated after they died.
Potter told The Salt Lake Tribune that she could not disclose how the cows were mutilated but it was the work of humans and not animals.
Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to call the sheriff’s office.
