Alabama Loses RB Drake for at Least 8-10 Weeks

istockphoto(TUSCALOOSA, Ala.) — Alabama lost more than a football game last Saturday: running back Kenyan Drake has suffered a broken leg in the team’s 23-17 loss at Ole Miss.

Alabama head Coach Nick Saban says it will be 8-10 more weeks before Drake can even think about playing football again.

Losing Drake means the Crimson Tide loses versatility. Drake has rushed for 126 yards and four touchdowns while also catching four balls for 145 yards and two touchdowns this season.

“Kenyan has a lot of production for us and has done a really good job all year long,” Saban said. “I don’t think there’s any question about the fact that when you do lose a player like that it does have some impact.

No. 7 Alabama (4-1, 1-1 SEC) will play Arkansas in Fayetteville on Saturday.
