The 32-year-old Native American actress was first reported missing by her father Charles on October 6. She was last seen the day before, leaving her apartment in Auburn, Washington, 20 miles outside of Seattle.

Commander Steve Stocker tells People magazine, “Our officers responded to her apartment where she lives with her parents on Sunday for a suicidal call.  When our officers got there, she had already packed up some belongings and left the apartment, so the officers were not able to contact or find her.”

However, Stocker says she does not fit the criteria for a “missing and endangered person,” according to Washington state law, in which the person’s missing occurrence has to be “unexplainable, involuntary or suspicious.”

He adds, “As far as the information we have, she took some things with her, she has a bus pass and even access to some money, and the case has been assigned to a detective, but we aren’t putting resources to look for her.”

Earlier this year, Upham filmed her role in the upcoming movie Cake, starring Jennifer Aniston.
