The Colts (4-2) offense was on fire from the get-go, scoring on its first four offensive drives.

“We realized with the recent history of Thursday night games, teams who are going on the road are struggling, and we didn’t want to do that,” Luck said. “We were lucky enough to get off on that fast start. It takes focus, and you almost have to trick yourself into it.”

Luck finishes the game completing 25 of 44 passes for 370 yards, three touchdowns, one interception and a fumble.

T.Y. Hilton caught nine balls for a career-high 223 yards and a touchdown in the win.

The Texans (3-3) attempted to make a late comeback. Defensive end J.J. Watt recovered a Luck fumble and ran it 45 yards for a touchdown to cut the Colts lead to five with 10:46 remaining in the game. With the score the same and two minutes to play Houston had the ball on its own 21 yard line, but quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was stripped by Bjoern Werner and D’Qwell Jackson recovered the ball to seal the game for the Colts.

Arian Foster ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns in the loss, as Indianapolis takes over sole possession of first place in the AFC South.
