Dylan Penn Approves of Dad Sean Penn’s Romance with Charlize Theron

Barry King/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — Sean Penn’s relationship with Charlize Theron has received a stamp of approval from his daughter Dylan Penn.
The 23-year-old model told Us Weekly this week that she approves of the romance, saying of Theron, “She’s awesome.”
Dylan notes she hasn’t seen much of the two because they’re in South Africa shooting The Last Face, in which Theron stars. Penn is directing the project.
“As long as my dad’s happy, I’m happy for both of them,” she adds.
When asked what makes Theron so special, Dylan tells the magazine, “Well, she’s brilliant for one thing,” adding, “and she’s the only woman since my mom [Robin Wright] who can shut my dad up. The only woman! That is a f**king challenge so…She’s a powerhouse.”
Penn, 54, and Theron, 39, were first confirmed to be dating in January.
Penn and Wright were married in 1996, six years after Dylan was born. They divorced in 2010. Penn was also married to Madonna from 1985 to 1989.
Theron was previously in a nine-year relationship with actor Stuart Townsend until their split in 2010. She has a two-year-old son Jackson, whom she adopted in 2012.
