Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery Welcome a Baby Girl

ABC/Todd Wawrychuk(NEW YORK) — Ellen Pompeo is a mom, times two!
The Grey’s Anatomy star and her husband, Chris Ivery, have welcomed a second daughter, she confirmed via social media.
“Sienna May Ivery welcome to the world,” Pompeo wrote on Instagram, along with a sweet photo of her husband cuddling the baby. “We love you more than words can say.”
Pompeo, 44, added that the baby was born recently via a surrogate. And while the actress is clearly focused on her family (her oldest daughter, Stella, is 5), she also took the time to acknowledge Grey’s executive Shonda Rimes, who has been supportive.
“I would like to thank my whole @ShondalandTV family for helping us enjoy these first few weeks privately,” she wrote on Twitter. “[Love] u.”
