FX Series “Archer” Drops ISIS
Published at(NEW YORK) — FX series Archer is undergoing a slight rebranding – again.
A season after going by Archer Vice, the animated spy show is dropping ISIS, the acronym for the show’s non-government approved spy agency.
“We won’t say ISIS anymore, and the only visual representation of it will be that sign rolling off the show,” executive producer Matt Thompson told The Daily Beast. “It’s just the most awful thing, and we didn’t want to have anything to do with it.”
Last month, a mobile wallet company also changed its name from ISIS to distance itself from the terrorist group.
