Inmate Hurt in Oneida County Jail

(MALAD, ID) – A jail inmate was seriously injured at the Oneida County Courthouse Monday. Authorities say the man, whose name has not been released, jumped over a four-foot bannister on the third floor and fell to the second floor below.
The Idaho State Journal reports that the man is listed in serious condition at Portneuf Medical Center.
The suspect had just been arraigned on a felony burglary charge, and was restrained at the time he jumped.
