TLC 091914 MamaJune? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1414689049690TLC(NEW YORK) — “Mama June” Shannon appears to be taking the cancellation of her hit TLC show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, in stride.

In an interview that aired on E! News Wednesday night, the reality star said, “I can’t say anything bad about the show. I can’t say anything bad about TLC.”

Mama June also smiled and laughed throughout most of the interview, even throwing up the peace sign.

TLC nixed the reality show Friday after allegations surfaced that Mama June was once again dating convicted pedophile Mark McDaniel. Shannon has denied these claims, saying she hasn’t seen McDaniel since he was released from prison in March after serving a 10-year sentence for aggravated child molestation. However, photographic evidence has surfaced online that appears to suggest otherwise.

The E! News interview was held after Mama June’s eldest daughter, Anna Marie Cardwell, who went by “Chickadee” on the show, said McDaniel molested her as a child. In an interview with People, Chickadee said that McDaniel “would try and touch me and all that stuff” when she was 8 years old and he was in a relationship with her mother.

When asked if she had spoken to Chickadee recently, Mama June said, “I talk to her — I talk to all my kids. We’re all doing fine. We’re just hanging out as a family and handling it privately. The protection of my kids is my number-one priority.”
