Man Fires at Officer, Shoots Self

(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello man committed suicide following a high speed chase with police Saturday night. Brian Seward fired on an officer during a routine traffic stop on West Center Street at around 9:30 p.m.
The 46-year-old then sped away, eventually crashing his vehicle into a mobile home at the Green Ash Trailer Court. Authorities say Seward was a registered sex offender who lived near the trailer he crashed into.
An investigation is ongoing.
