Pocatello Superintendent to Resign

(POCATELLO, ID) – Pocatello School District 25 Superintendent Mary Vagner is stepping down. Her resignation will take effect in June.

Administrators say Vagner has been at the helm for nine years, and was Idaho’s Superintendent of the Year in 2012.

Officials maintain that Vagner’s resignation has nothing to do with controversies involving basketball coach Laraine Cook and football coach Tom Harrison. Cook was reinstated earlier this year after being fired over a scantily-clad picture posted to Facebook. Harrison was suspended indefinitely following an alleged verbal attack on a player.
