(BLACKFOOT, ID) – The Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot is getting a much-needed facelift. Museum director Tish Dahmen tells Local News 8 that the lava rock exterior will be replaced, while the inside will have a completely new floor plan.

The museum is considering an expansion to the gift shop that would include a small restaurant paying homage to the classic phrase “free taters for out-of-staters.”

The facility attracts an estimated 10,000 visitors to Bingham County each year.
