Scouting for Food Collects Big Donations
Published at | Updated at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Area Boy Scouts flooded pantries during the annual Scouting for Food drive Saturday.
Local News 8 reports that thousands of items were picked up, then taken to the Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership. Manager Brett Hicks says the donations are crucial with the holidays just around the corner.
Scout Hayden Brundy says it lifted his spirits to help those in need.
Organizers are unsure how much was donated at this point, but they had a goal of 500,000 items.
