Three Scientists Share Nobel Prize in Chemistry
Published at(STOCKHOLM) — This year’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to three scientists on Wednesday.
Americans Eric Betzig and William Moerner, along with German Stefan Hell, picked up the award “for the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy,” according to the Nobel Prize’s website.
Their work let microscopes see finer detail than they could before — right down to the molecular level inside cells, the tiniest components of life.
