UN: More than 300 Killed Since Cease-Fire Enacted in Ukraine
Published at(MOSCOW) — Despite a cease-fire in Ukraine, both sides continue their attacks almost every day. And now, new numbers show just how bad it’s been.
At least 331 people have been killed since the cease-fire was enacted a month ago, a new report from the United Nations finds.
And the violence is only increasing.
Some of the most intense fighting is for control of the airport outside Donetsk. Even though it’s nearly destroyed, it has strategic importance for both sides.
Since fighting began over six months ago, the U.N. calculates that over 3,500 people have been killed in Ukraine.
