TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) – The body of a woman found floating in the Snake River in south-central Idaho and whose identity remains unknown has been buried in a Twin Falls cemetery.

The Times-News reports that more than 30 people attended the public service Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park.

A kayaker spotted the body Sept. 9 near Centennial Waterfront Park, and authorities said the body had likely been in the water an hour.

The 5-foot-7, 177-pound woman with hazel eyes was dressed in black, had no identification and lacked distinguishing features such as scars or tattoos. Her estimated age is 45 to 50.

Investigators say she likely jumped to her death from Perrine Bridge, but they have not ruled out other possibilities.

The woman’s fingerprints have been placed in national databases.
