US Air Force Jet Crashes in England

According to the U.S. Air Force, the crash involved an F-15D Eagle and occurred at about 10:28 a.m. EST Wednesday. One person, the pilot, was on board the aircraft at the time. The pilot, who had taken off from Royal Air Force Station Lakenheath, ejected from the plane and was located safely on the ground.

The USAF said that “a board of qualified officers will investigate the accident.”
