Arizona State Capitalizes on Notre Dame’s Mistakes

iStockPhoto/Thinkstock(TEMPE, Az) — The Arizona State Sun Devils defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 55-31, Saturday, in a victory that will push them one step closer into consideration for the college football National Championship final four.
Taking advantage of five Notre Dame turnovers, Arizona State scored 28 points off of those takeaways.
Fighting Irish quarterback Everett Golson accounted for all five turnovers and still brought Notre Dame within three points of Arizona State, closing the score to 34-31.
Arizona State responded with a 75 yard touchdown drive and sealed the game with a Lloyd Carrington pick six off Everett Golson on the next Notre Dame drive.
With the win Arizona State moves to 8-1 and enters the National Championship playoff selection discussion.
