Britney Spears Confirms She Has a ‘Special Someone’

The singer confirmed reports that she’s in the early stages of a new relationship.
“Yes, there is a special someone,” she told Extra. “It’s very new.”
Spears, 32, has been linked to writer and producer Charlie Ebersol, the son of Saturday Night Live co-creator Dick Ebersol. E! News reported earlier this week that the new couple met through friends, but the singer declined to confirm that detail — or anything else — about her new romance.
This is the first public relationship Spears has had since she split from David Lucado several weeks ago.
“So I know you know my boyfriend cheated on me,” she told the audience during her Las Vegas show in September. “But the best thing about being cheated on is I get to go on more first dates.”
