Brooke Shields Reveals Losing Her Virginity to Dean Cain in New Book

Ron Galella, Ltd./WireImage(NEW YORK) — Brooke Shields has a new tell-all book coming out later this month titled There Was a Little Girl that explores her complicated relationship with her mother, her crazy life as a child star and her celebrity romances.
In an excerpt from the book, appearing in the November issue of People magazine, the actress and model also reveals losing her virginity to Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Dean Cain when she was 22 years old.
Shields, 49, reveals that when she met Cain at Princeton University, they were “instantly crazy” about each other. She writes in the book that they were, “always holding hands and trying to find ways to be alone and kiss,” adding, “but poor guy, I made him wait.”
The Suddenly Susan actress goes on to write that holding out “was more tortuous for him because I was used to shutting that part [of me] off.”
Shields explains she was always more focused on her ever-present mother, noting, “I felt as if she was watching.”
After they had sex, Shields writes she became so overwhelmed, she jumped out of the bed.
“I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running,” she recalls, adding, “I was buck naked streaking down the hallway and running like I had just stolen someone’s wallet.”
She continues, “I didn’t know where I began and where my mother ended, and that meant I didn’t know how to fit Dean in.” The pair broke up soon after.
Brooke tells People, she recently called Dean, 48, to let him know she was including the episode in her book and the actor was fine with it.
“He said ‘As long as you’re happy with it, I’m comfortable with it,'” she recalls. “There’s nothing sordid about it. He’s such a good guy and a sweet human being.”
There Was a Little Girl comes out Nov. 18.
