The CDC said its supply of PPE will be configured into kits that can be delivered quickly to hospitals that need them. Each kit is expected to contain sufficient PPE to “manage the care of one Ebola patient for up to five days.”

“We are making certain not to disrupt the orders submitted by states and hospitals,” Greg Burel, director of th CDC’s Division of Strategic National Stockpile said. “But we are building our stocks so that we can assist when needed.”

Each kit will include impermeable gowns, coveralls and aprons, boot overs, gloves, face shields, hoods, respirators, powered-air purifying respirator systems and disinfecting wipes.
