Gen. Martin Dempsey: ISIS ‘A Bunch of Midgets’

US JCS(BAGHDAD, Iraq) — U.S. Gen. Martin Dempsey announced on Saturday that the battle against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is moving forward, and that the militant group is not unstoppable.
In fact, Dempsey referred to ISIS as “a bunch of midgets running around with a really radical ideology.” He also stated that the tide was beginning to turn on ISIS, praising the effectiveness of the U.S.-led campaign. He did note, however, that completely defeating the group could still take “years.”
The general was in Iraq on a surprise trip to meet with Iraqi and U.S. officials and to get an update on the ISIS situation.
