Group Fighting to Keep Mail Center Open

Pocatello, Idaho — The mail distribution center in Pocatello is scheduled to be partially shut down next year, but one group won’t let that happen without a fight.
A ‘day of action’ is planned for next Friday at the Flandro Drive post office to rally support for keeping it open.
In a statement, the USPS says only the mail distribution portion of the office will be moved to Salt Lake City, the facility will remain open as a post office.
About 45 jobs will be impacted by the move that is scheduled to take place in April of 2015.
