Indiana Basketball Player Injured After Being Struck by Car
Published at(BLOOMINGTON, In) — Sophomore foward Devin Davis is in serious condition after being hit by a teammate’s car early Saturday morning.
Davis was taken to IU Bloomington Health Hospital while teammate, freshman Emmit Holt, has been cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence. Holt registered a 0.025 blood alchohol content. The legal limit for BAC in Indiana is 0.08, but if the person is under the age of 21 – as is the case with Holt – the limit is 0.02.
Police discovered Davis unconscious with a head wound just off of IU campus. He was treated by on site by EMT’s and transported to the hospital.
According to police officials Holt’s vehicle was discovered with damage to the passenger side, front fender and windshield.
The hospital has not provided an update on Davis’s condition.
