Gordon injured his foot Saturday night during the team’s loss to the Golden State Warriors. He was X-rayed following Saturday’s game and it revealed the fracture.

Gordon tweeted: “need detail from a specialist, the reality is that it’s a stress fracture. That I can’t control. But I can control my level of inner peace.”

Gordon was the fourth pick in this past June’s draft out of Arizona, and at 19 years old, he’s the youngest player in the NBA this season.

Known for his athleticism and versatility, Gordon appeared in 11 games off the bench this season. So far, he’s averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks in 15.0 minutes per game.

Forward Maurice Harkless is expected to see an increase in playing time with Gordon’s injury.

Even though Gordon is out for an extended period of time, the Magic were aided this weekend by the return of last year’s number two overall pick, Victor Oladipo.
