Peyton Manning tossed five touchdowns for the Broncos (7-2) while the defense held Oakland (0-9) to less than 250 total yards of offense.

The game did not start off that well for Manning and the Broncos. A pair of early interceptions saw Denver trailing 10-6 with 11 minutes to play in the second quarter. That all changed when C.J. Anderson caught a screen pass and scampered 51 yards for a touchdown, giving Denver a 13-10 advantage.

That scoring play started a string of five touchdown passes on five possessions for Manning, turning a brief upset scare into another rout. The Raiders were held scoreless for almost the entire second half, scoring a garbage touchdown with less than a minute remaining in regulation.

It was the ninth time in Manning’s career that he threw for at least five touchdowns, breaking a tie with Drew Brees for the most in NFL history. The 38-year-old also extended his own league mark of most consecutive games with at least two touchdown passes to 15 games. Both Julius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders each caught a pair of touchdowns in the win.

Derek Carr threw two touchdowns in the loss, but also threw a pair of interceptions.
